I know I promised I'd be back a while ago but RL has a way of kicking you in the ass. Just had to finally post something, even if it's nonsense just to get me back into the habit. So, in the spirit of writing and getting over writer's block, I'm taking fic requests.

Give me a situation, location, a mood, a piece of dialogue, etc. and I'll give you fic. I've only written in the CSI fandom so far but I'm open to trying for fic in other fandoms as long as I've seen enough of it to figure out character voices. And let me know if it's supposed to be smutty, since I tend towards not writing sex unless it's asked for.

I'll take the first 5 requests I get, just to get my feet in.

And speaking of fandom...

I'm back. Sort of. But in case people are reading this, I think fiction will be forthcoming. At the very least a set of drabbles.
In other news, I'm sick and have spent the weekend sleeping in and cataloging my extensive video collection. VCRs are an evil thing. And because I have a compulsive need to tape anything on TV that I find the least bit interesting, I'm currently drowning in video tapes. And have become obsessed with Navy NCIS. Which I'm afraid will lead to an unfortunate fan fiction obsession. Sigh. Why isn't there a 12 step group for this?

A small snippet from an in progress N/G fic.

He was pretty sure it'd be the best sex he'd ever had in his life but he wasn't sure if good sex was going to be worth everything that would happen after. Nick was complicated in a way that had nothing to with them working in the same lab and even though Greg'd fantasized about Nick Stokes forfuckingever he knew him well enough that it'd never be easy. But it was so tempting to forget about everything but the way Nick was looking at him, tired and needy, and looking to Greg for help.

In his glass cage where anyone could walk by and see Nick staring at him, waiting for an answer, and who could have thought that Nick could be so open, so careless and suddenly Greg didn't know anything anymore. Because he thought it was all about sex but Nick wouldn't risk his career just for sex either. So it was pretty certain that Greg was missing something because since when was Nick gay, since when has he looked at a Greg and thought, there's a guy I'd like to sleep with. He was entitled to be confused, right?

* * * *

So, there it is and hopeful it'll actually get finished. I'm worried about the style, though, because I wanted it to resemble the slightly chaotic thought processes Greg is going through but I don't know if it works, or if it just seems like bad grammar. Oh well. I need to find a beta.

Plus, watching the Mod Squad and this movie is totally responsible for my crush on Giovanni Ribisi because his character was so sweet in it. It's a shame the movie wasn't that good; the premise could have been really interesting.

Do you think I'll be going to hell for watching 'The Little Vampire' and immediately thinking 'Oooh. AU future fic' cuz the characters are just kids but I can totally see the two boys growing up and finding out that they are in lurve. There's even a built in plot twist because of the sister. Must resist evil muses.

I know. I owe my journal at least two stories but real life has forced me to pay attention to other things.

I hate my job, which I get paid for, and I love my hobby, which takes up a lot of my time and I don't get paid for. Wouldn't it be neat if I actually got paid to do what I love and didn't have to waste my time filing things and making copies? Blah.

In other news, did a quiz. And I didn't even cheat. I knew it was meant to be. *g*

On a fic note, I am currently writing a Nick POV companion piece to "The First Morning After." Hopefully posted by this weekend but I seem to have some trouble getting into Nick's head. I find it easier understanding Greg, I think so maybe if the series continues it'll be mainly his POV.

I finally finished the story and it has turned out more angsty and less porny than I had hoped. It still has sexy bits so it's rating is NC-17.

It's Nick/Greg (CSI) and a short piece done from Greg's POV which is surprising since I was trying to make it not a POV fic. Maybe next time.

Didn't get to make any icons tonight so project for tomorrow. I'm open to ideas and what are the rules for making icons, copyrightwise? Does there need to be consideration for that or does it not matter.

I just learned how to make animated icons. Now to spend the rest of the night making pretty pictures.

In other news, my smut fic has now turned more angst than smut and much too much character introspection for porn. Darn fic!Greg. Just can't be happy with sex, he's got to think about it too. Hmph.

Wow is it hard to write good smut. Mine keeps getting bits of angst in it and I can't tell what parts are coming out appropriately sexy and what parts just sound like they belong in a low budget porn flick.
And writing about two guys means I have to mention them by name more often because otherwise I get bogged down in the pronouns. (I do mean pronouns, right?) And I don't know if that just makes things sound repetitive or not.
Hopefully I'll have my second ever CSI fic done sometime today. Hopefully. My muses keep wandering off to watch CSI:Miami though, and I think they're trying to lead me to Speed fic. Though I'll probably start writing angsty Calleigh POV fics instead.

Forgot the title. It's "Let That Be Enough" and just in case, the disclaimer. Don't know them. Sure as heck don't own them. Other people do and it's all make believe.

Inspired and slightly hopped up on 3 diet Pepsis, I've given into my muses and have written my first piece of CSI fic. It's just a short introspective piece done in Greg's POV. No real slash, just barely implied. Read, and all comments and constructive criticism are welcome. Along with letting me know if I should continue (which could turn out badly) or just leave it as is.

Why isn't there a magic box to keep me constantly supplied with well-written slash? I should just be able to insert pairing, add a plot (or not, as the case may be), and voila, hot boys doing really neat things. At this rate, I'll have to acquire new fandoms just to keep myself supplied with enough new stuff to read. I'm open to suggestion.

You ever buy a DVD and then not look at it for a while only to find out when you go to watch it that you accidentally bought the fullscreen edition and it's 34 days after the purchase date so I can't even go exchange it. Sigh.

I've finally succumbed to Without A Trace slash. Dammit. I think we all know who to thank for that one. Now all I need is for Ian Somerhalder to make a guest appearance as a suspect and flirt (seduce) Danny while Martin looks on jealously. Martin will be all pissy and be convinced that Ian is guilty and Danny will defend him because he relates to Ian in some obscure way and Jack will look on with this look on his face that says 'I don't know who you guys are trying to fool but just have sex already and spare the rest of us your drama' and I will watch and be amused and squeal every time Ian comes on to Danny and Martin gets pissy.
Gee. This sounds like an interesting scene for someone to write. Not me, but someone. Hmmm.

Eric Szmanda has a commentary track on the "The Rules of Attraction" DVD. Which was a pleasant surprise and something I only discovered when I was looking at various websites so I could find the commentary tracks. Who puts commentary tracks in the Audio section? Wouldn't it make more sense to put them in the Special Features section.
And Ian Somerhalder has a commentary track too. Heh.
I now have plans for tonight.
Which is kind of cool because the only reason I bought the DVD was because it was 10 dollars and there was cast commentary. I'm a sucker for cast commentary.

Should I be worried when I start reading slash in fandoms I don't even watch? Stupid pretty boys. Not like I don't have a life I have to get back to. Eventually. When I finally tear myself away from my computer.

Isn't there a job I can get that requires me to sit on my ass all day and just read stuff?

In other news, I have a girl crush on Toni Collette. Probably encouraged by watching her in Velvet Goldmine and About a Boy.

Not sure what to think about the new DA. Seems too gung ho not to be annoying but I could just be missing the other DA. Whom I can't recall the name of. Mind like a sieve, I tell ya.

I blame Caroline Crane. It wasn't enough she got me hooked into CSI she's now shoved me screaming into the Suicide Kings fandom. One CSI:Miami guest star fic and I find myself scurrying as fast as I can into the Suicide Kings section because Jay Mohr...yum. Dammit. But I absolutely refuse to read Mighty Ducks fanfic. There has to be a limit. My only consolation is that I haven't watched the most of the movies she writes for. But now I'm gonna have to rent Suicide Kings and look for the subtext.

In other news, I got my paycheck. Now I just have to decide between CSI season 2, Midsomer Murders, and Indy. And about a dozen other things I can't remember but will as soon as I go shopping. Blah.
